After a dramatic and strenuous off-season, I finally got to experience the end result of all the stress and media chaos by enjoying a game at the Meadowlands. Although the trip was pretty short because of my hectic class schedule, it was a breath of fresh air nonetheless. Moving to a new place is always scary, especially when dad’s career in Green Bay left us rooted in one place for close to two decades. However, after spending a few minutes in our new home, I felt at ease. Dad had to report to the hotel Saturday night to be ready for the game, so mom took us to the city for dinner and a Broadway play. The next day was incredible: my first Jets game day. I sported my Brett Favre jersey of course, and was able to talk to dad before the game. He gave me a hard time about playing Fantasy Football, joking that the only reason I was paying attention to his games was because I had several Jets players on my team. Needless to say, this week was a great week to have members of the “Gang Green” on my side. After four quarters and a few games of tic-tac-toe and hangman with my sister Breleigh, we left that game victorious. My first game at the Meadowlands and dad throws a career-high six touchdowns…coincidence?

Hi Brittany and Favre family! This is so exciting, blogging with the Favres! Never thought I'd be able to say that
I wanted to personally congratulate Brett on an amazing game on Sunday! 6 Touchdowns, I'm in awe, such a great game. Being the diehard Packer fan that I have been, you guys have been like another family to me and to everyone, and we miss you guys every day in Green Bay. But I'm so happy Brett got to play another year, and the Jets are only going to be amazed with the great family they've inherited.
I look forward to more posts to come! I just joined blogspots so I have some work to do!

Heck of a game! I was always a Favre fan growing up in Philly, and thought I would never get to see him play in person. Thank God he plays for the Jets now. My first game was the greatest thing ever!
Hi Britany and family. So good to hear that you guys are settling in after the crazy change.
The Arizona game was such a joy to watch. I was finally able to go to see your dad play in person against te chargers and even though the team lost, I was finally able to see him after rooting for him since high school.
Please post some more and good luck in school!

**I guess now I have to say Go Jets! (I live in the UP of Michigan.. a few hours from Green Bay..)
Favre family,
Thank you for being so open and letting us in. Brittany your mom has helped me see that no matter what happens it is going to be ok, and your dad has made me see that the next play can win the game. Your family has held us up in the past few years and Brett you are the weed eating champ, no matter what.

I am delighted to have found this site. I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor, and I thank you and your entire family for showing us all that there is nothing that cannot be overcome.
Best of everything to you.
Deanna Please take heart! Most people in Wisconsin do not feel hateful towards Brett. In fact we love your whole family, all 4 of you and are proudly watching him set more and more records. After all, he will always be a Green Bay Packer!
I am well aware that I am just another of the thousands, maybe millions of not only Brett Favre fans, but Favre Family fans. However, I just wanted to say that as someone who is further from the problem and thus probably more understanding of the situation from a fan's point of view, Favre fans have not been in the least bit effected over this nonsense in the media. At times, as fans, we may have questioned the throw off of the back foot or the decision to play with every injury known to man, but anyone who has followed Brett and his Family through the years will never, EVER question his honor, integrity or character. In a time of adversity I hope this helps. May God continue to bless the Favre family and all that they stand for and know that those who were there in the beginning WILL be there through all of the reporters trying to make a story out of nothing.
Hi to the Favre family. It saddens me to see just how far the media can and will go to get a story (biased or not). I've been fighting colon cancer for 2 years. Took 20 days off work for surgery (all 20 days in hospital) Got out on a Sunday evening and was at work on Monday. I had 1 series of chemo followed by radiation treatment, and I’m currently on my second series of chemo. I've not missed a day of work since the operation.
Brett has been an inspiration to me. Whereas I can't say for certain...I believe that I understand the dilemma that Brett has faced. Certainly as his career has progressed it has become more work, physically and mentally. Pride, work ethic, and love of the game appears to be the driving force to keep Brett going. These same factors are also the forces that make him question his continued role in football. Yes, the day will come when he determines that the retirement is final but that should be his choice, as I’m convinced when the finale comes Brett won’t need someone to say it’s time. I’m alive today because I didn’t listen to those that said I’ve run my course…now just relax and enjoy what life you have left. When my time comes I’ll know that I squeezed every drop of life out of myself and contributed something to my family and this world. Brett has set a standard which I can only hope to achieve. To the Favre family, it’s untold stories like this that you should embrace not the foolishness of petty controversy. To the children of the Favre family be proud of your father for what he has achieved and forget about the hype and drama of the media. Be proud of your mother as well as yourselves for forgiving and bearing the unjust criticism. Above all live your own lives and don’t feel you have to fit in your fathers shoes. Your mother and your father will be just as proud of you as long as you are happy in life.

Hi Favre family! This is so exciting, blogging with the Favres!
I have never had the chance to go to a NFL game, but I have been a true Favre fan ever since your dad entered the NFL with Atlanta.
After he beat his addiction problems he left no doubt that he would be a warrior.
I have tried collecting all his trading cards. There is far too many. I got 248 so far though.
Brett will always be the man
God bless your family and thank you for making my Sundays way more exciting.

Hi Favre family
I think this is wonderful site.
I have followed Brett since his short lived days in Atlanta. He is an amazing person. The world didn't know how amazing until he beat his drug problem and taking the Pack to the Superbowl twice.
Nothing will keep him down. He seems to be a great father and as far Mrs. Favre goes, no words can describe how wonderful she is and how strong.
I will always be a Favre (family fan)
Thanks for your time

Brittany,
Keep up the good work and have Deanna stand tall. We miss Brett being in a Packer uniform and not matter what anyone say or does, he will always be a Packer. It's great to see him do so well and still loving the game. Media is media, if they don't have something bad to say, then they feel like they are not doing their job. God Bless you guys, and be safe.

I just want to say Hattiesburg (the enter state of MS for that matter) loves ya'll! Your family always makes us proud. Thanks for being such a large part of our community and for doing so with such class. You will always have our support.
Love the picture of you 2 girls and Brett at the bottom : )
So glad we can blog with you now!
Hi to all of you!
I am a fan of Brett's and always will be no matter where he goes. I was very sad when he was not returning as a packer, but I watch him now as a Jet. Keep up the good work, it is a pleasure to read nice things about a family and how well they are connected.
Bless you all!
Jane
Brittany,
Your dad is the last remaining player that reminds me of my childhood. I'm a Browns fan but when we lost our team in 1995; I followed the Packers because of your dad. He's the only player in NFL history that I wish that I could watch play forever. That is high compliment because I've seen many great ones.
Thanks for sharing some of your life with us. God bless you.
Clint
Hi Brittany,
your dad has been so fun to watch over the years. I've been watching him play since I was about 11. I'm now 27 and married. In Wisconsin your family has been a part of all of our families for 16 years. It was hard to say goodbye both when he retired and when he was traded to New York. He'll always be our quarterback and to me he's the best man to ever play the game. He's always shown honesty and integrity and hasn't let fame and money change him. You have great parents and I've always admired them for their courage and strength through adversity on and off the field. Thanks for sharing your dad with us for so long. I know it hasn't always been easy. I suppose I'm selfish for wanting him to play forever...lol. God bless.
What a great moment for you and for your family. As I sit here and imagine what it must have been like I get goosebumps. How exciting.!!!
Favre Family
Thank you soo much for all that you have done. I don't know if you all realize just how important you all are to BRETT FAVRE fans all around the world. I only wish I could express the impact you have on people. I have come to know you all through following Brett's career and have enjoyed every minute I have spent reading about you all. In my opinion, the Favres are exactly the type of role models all of us need. You have touched so many people in so many positive ways. I can not express the gratitude and love I have in my heart for you all. It seems as if the Favres go through a tragedy at the same time the same type of tragedy hits my own life and I have gathered strength from your family on more than one occasion. So Thank You all, not only for supporting Brett's career, but for being the type of people you are. Oh Yeah, I know you hear this all the time, but ONE MORE YEAR PLEEEEEAAASSSEE!!
Hey, just wanted to wish the Farve family a happy holiday season. Rest assured that no matter what color uniform Brett wheres I will always be a fan. I have read your blog and can see that even though Brett has had a rough year he has come through the trials and tribulations with his head held high. I say good on him. Here's hoping that the Jet's make it to the bowl this year, you can better bet that I'll be watching. Diana, keep up the good work with your foundation. My mother to has suffered with breast cancer and as a result has lost one of her breast. Yet, today she is happy, healthy and glad to be around.
Good luck guys,
Your forever fan,
Kathy Foster
