Dad with Goofy at Disney World
After a long and strenuous battle with the flu, I decided to spend my spring break relaxing at home with my family. I made my way back to Hattiesburg last week to find everyone settled back into our home and ready for a week of quality time. My parents had just gotten back from Disney World, where dad rode in a parade around the parks. The trip was only a day, but it was a surprise for my sister who has to be the biggest Disney World fanatic that I know. The week was filled with several family dinners and my mom and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire (which I highly recommend, Great film!). While most of my friends took exotic vacations, or planned huge trips to islands and beaches, I was perfectly content in Mississippi. I was also able to catch up on some work after having the flu, so spring break couldn't have come at a better time. Since I've been back, I've been busy figuring out my plans for the summer and this fall. My latest application will land on the desk of a magazine that is circulated around the south (fingers crossed!). Even more exciting is that my parents will be coming in town on Friday for my sorority's parent's weekend! We have plans with my sorority on Friday, then of course mom and I will most likely shop on Saturday followed by dinner that night. I'm thrilled for them to be able to come since it's rare that they get to make the trip. Can't wait, and I hope everyone is enjoying the approach of my favorite season: it's SPRING TIME!
